Hunter Corcoran

Hunter joined Sionna as a Junior Trader in 2017. He earned his Honours Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at Western University and completed a degree in Economics from Western University. Prior to joining Sionna, Hunter was an Institutional Equities Sales and Trading Summer Analyst at RBC. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of CFA Society Toronto. Hunter is set to complete his Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies from Harvard University next year.

Joanna Wolff

Joanna Wolff

Joanna joined Sionna in 2022 and is an Associate Portfolio Manager. Joanna joined the industry in 2010 and has experience in both domestic and global equity markets, most recently as an Investment Analyst and Investment Counsellor at Manitou Investment Management. Joanna is a contributor to The Analyst publication for the CFA Society Toronto and a guest judge for the Value Investing course at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She is also a member of Women in Capital Markets and 100 Women in Finance. Joanna earned her Honours MBA from Queen’s University and Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.  Joanna is a CFA® charterholder.

Stuart Tabor

Stuart joined Sionna in 2020 as an Equity Research Analyst. Prior to joining Sionna, Stuart interned at both Burgundy Asset Management and RBC Global Asset Management. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, Advanced Finance Major and Minor in History from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. While at StFX, Stuart was the President of the Schwartz Investment Society. Stuart has successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the CFA Ethical Decision-Making Course.

 

 

Aleksy Wojcik

Aleksy Wojcik

Aleksy joined Sionna in 2020 as a Portfolio Manager. He is a member of Sionna’s Canadian Equity team and contributes to Sionna’s non-domestic strategies. Aleksy has more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently as VP Investments and Portfolio Manager at CI Harbour Advisors where he focused on award-winning Canadian Equity and Canadian Balanced portfolios. Aleksy is graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, Economics degree and is a CFA® charterholder.

Stephen Jenkins

Stephen Jenkins

Stephen joined Sionna in 2019 and is the Co-Chief Investment Officer. He is the co-lead Portfolio Manager for Sionna high conviction strategy and the lead portfolio manager for the firm’s global value strategy and focused U.S. value strategy. Stephen has more than 30 years of experience in both domestic and global equity markets. He began his career in 1990 as an analyst at Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company and was most recently Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Vice President at CI Harbour Funds. Stephen currently sits on The Niagara Community Foundation's Investment Committee. Stephen is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is a CFA® charterholder.










Gary Chow

Gary Chow

Gary joined Sionna in 2014 and is a Portfolio Manager. He is the lead Portfolio Manager for the firm’s focused dividend strategy. Prior to joining Sionna, he was a Generalist at RBC Wealth Management and worked at RBC Capital Markets and Deloitte Consulting. Gary earned his MBA from the Rotman School of Management and both his Honours Business Administration and Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of CFA Society Toronto.

Kim Shannon

Kim Shannon

Kim founded Sionna, one of the largest independent investment firms led by a woman, in 2002. Kim is the lead Portfolio Manager on Sionna's large cap, all cap and focused Canadian value strategies and co-lead on Sionna's high conviction strategy. Since joining the industry in 1983, she has received numerous awards, including Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year (2005), the RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur Award (2007), Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award (2007, 2017), the Rotman Women in Management Association Top 10 Award (Entrepreneur Category, 2015) and the Rotman Alumni Lifetime Achievement Award (2021). Kim was also inducted into the IIAC Investment Industry Hall of Fame in 2022. Kim is a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and is on the board for the Brandes Institute, Ontario Arts Foundation and United Corporation. She is also a member of the CFA Institute Board of Regents (previously served as its chair) and is a past President of the CFA Society Toronto. Kim previously served as a board member with the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance and served as Chair of its Governance Committee. Kim was amongst a select group of industry experts to present at the 2020 Columbia Business School’s “From Graham to Buffett and Beyond” Omaha Panel. Kim also co-hosted the female-led Variant Perspectives Value Investing Conference in 2019, which featured Warren Buffett as a keynote speaker.
